Experience true Telepresence and High Definition (HD) Video Conferencing with a more reliable and affordable network
Media Network Services (MNS) provides an ultra-speed global network optimized for High-Definition (HD)/Telepresence Video Conferencing making expensive dedicated MPLS Networks obsolete.
Large enterprises normally extend their MPLS intranet only to their permanent office locations of a certain size. This intranet can be extended to your smaller offices, customers and partners by using Media Network Services. With no need for additional infrastructure using MNS for video communication is less expensive and has shorter implementation time than corresponding intranet extensions.
When the company signs up for the MNS service, selected data traffic, typically audio and video addressed outside the company, will be sent from the corporate IP transit locations to the nearest MNS Point of Presence. From there, data are safely transported to all MNS locations and further to the partners and customers.
If the local network quality is dissatisfying, isolated corporate offices can optionally be connected to the nearest MNS PoP using national private lines. In this way the need for global private line services can be eliminated, dramatically reducing the costs.
Benefits of HD/Telepresence Video Conferencing over MNS’ Global Network
MNS will give you the following business benefits:
- Utilize your existing video conferencing equipment at a higher quality and a lower cost.
- With no additional infrastructure investments you enjoy HD/Telepresence video conferencing with any employee, customer or partner.
- No need for new expensive dedicated MPLS network when setting up additional video conferencing locations.
- No upfront investment and unparalleled Implementation time.
HD/Telepresence Video Conferencing Example
In the example below, the corporate intranet includes locations in Europe and North America. The company has an isolated office in China, not connected by MPLS. The company subscribes to the MNS video transport service.
The company has IP transit connections in the USA and in the UK. On these locations video traffic is sent to the nearest MNS PoP. From there, data are safely forwarded to all MNS locations, such as China.
